If you are having trouble collecting a stamp from a Stamp Me issued QR code, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
1. Ensure you have a network connection
You need to be connected to data or Wi-Fi on your phone to collect a stamp. Flight mode must be off. Otherwise, you will not be able to open the Stamp Me App, or it may crash.
2. Ensure your camera permissions are enabled for the App
In order to scan the QR code, you will need to allow permission for the Stamp Me App to use your phone's camera. If you have not yet enabled this, you will see a pop-up when you try to scan to scan the code.
3. You're not scanning the code in-app
A stamp can only be collected from a QR code by using the Stamp Me in-app camera.
Within the Stamp Me App, press ‘Stamp Me’ on the relevant Stamp Card to bring up the camera screen. Alternatively press ‘+’ > Scan or enter code.
4. You're scanning an expired OneStamp
If you are collecting a stamp from a take-away or online business, and the code is printed on stickers or a leaflet, it likely will only issue one stamp when scanned, and then it expires.
If you scan an already used one-use code (what we call OneStamps), you will get an error message saying it has already been claimed. Please ask the business for a new code.
