SMS text messages can be sent via the Merchant Console once it has been activated. If you want to activate SMS on your console, please contact us. Please note that SMS restrictions apply for some business types.
There is a charge for every sent SMS message, regardless of whether it is delivered or not. See a list of SMS charges here.
Once we have enabled the SMS feature, follow these step-by-step instructions.
How to send SMS text messages from the Merchant Console:
Login to your Merchant Console
Select Communications from the red left-hand side menu
Select SMS as the communication method
Enter text into the message field (max 140 characters)
[optional: attach a reward voucher which will be sent to the member’s Stamp Me App]
Select location and stamp card to load specific members. Or select Load Members to load all your program members.
Select members* to receive the message, ensuring they have a valid phone number:
Select all members by checking the Select All option to the top left of the table.
Select individuals by scrolling and navigating pages and checking the box next to their name.
Search by name, email or phone number using the search box.
*Note: data can be filtered by sorting columns ascending/descending or add more sorting options to the table by selecting the three dots to the right.
10. Select Review & Send
11. Review message details, ensuring the total number of contacts selected is correct
12. Select Send Now
The message can take up to 5 minutes to receive, depending on network connectivity. To see if it has been sent after a few minutes, check your Sent Messages outbox from the Communications area.
