If your Tap Device is active but customers aren't receiving stamps when tapping their phones, try the following troubleshooting steps.
1. Check your Tap Device settings
First, make sure your Tap Device is active and linked to the correct Stamp Cards and business location.
Log in to your Loyalty Portal.
Navigate to Stamp Methods → Tap Devices.
Under My Tap Devices, locate your device and click Manage device.
Check that your device is active and that the correct Location and Stamp Cards are selected.
If you make any changes, click Update device settings.
For more information, see How Do I Edit My StampPod or Stamp Tag Details?
2. Make sure the customer is using the Stamp Me app correctly
To collect a stamp using a Tap Device, customers need to:
Open the Stamp Me app on their phone.
Navigate to the relevant Stamp Card.
Tap the Stamp Me button.
Hold their phone against the Tap Device to collect their stamp.
Note: Tap Devices are only compatible with the Stamp Me native app. Customers using the web app cannot collect stamps by tapping a StampPod or Stamp Tag.
To collect stamps using a Tap Device, customers must download and open the Stamp Me native app.
3. Check the customer's phone
If the device still isn't issuing stamps, check the following:
NFC compatibility: Make sure the customer's phone supports NFC technology.
NFC settings: Check that NFC is enabled on their phone, where applicable.
Internet connection: Make sure their phone has a working internet connection.
4. Check your Device Number
If you've recently activated your Tap Device, double-check that the correct Device Number was entered during activation.
For more information on how to find your Device Number, see Where Can I Find My Device Number?
